Catching up!

I havent posted anything for awhile, figure its about time I do that. I am excited to say that I bought a pair of pants today that are size 12, I was a 14 before I started Reshape The Nation :) Its just a small difference numerically, but it sure did make my day :)

Bella was a bad puppy today, she stole and ate an entire pan of cinnamon rolls off my counter today, saved me the calories though! And no, I didnt bake the, my roommate brought them home. However I admit that I have falled off track from my diet the last 2 weeks because I was so busy with life I didn't make the time to do all my food preperation. Stupid excuse, I know.

I have also decided that I need a daily mantra to keep me motivated, something along the lines of "I will be good to my body and treat it as the temple it is. I will only put good things in my body that benefit my health and therefore take better care of myself both physically and mentally".

No more slacking for me, I need to get back on track and stay on track. I bought some new workout pants today. That always makes me happy :)

Long Day

I didnt get in much exercise today other than running around at work but its been a long day. Im ready for bed! I had to work a long split shift but on my break I took Bella for a walk down to the river where she found another chocolate lab to play with and went buck wild. Im looking forward to a good nights sleep :)

Reshape The Nation Rocks :)

I am still loving this new meal plan that I am on, my pants are getting a little looser and I can already feel a big difference in my overall health. I took 2 days off because I was at Ryans house and didnt bring my food with me and I still tried to keep it healthy but did splurge a little and of course I felt headachey and sluggish but since I am back on the plan I am feeling so much better. I love that Im losing weight and also the headaches are much less frequent then they were before. Today is a "rest day" where we rest from exercise but since i didnt work out yesterday except for a 40min walk with Bella I am gonna head to the gym and go work out anyways.

Bellas at the vet :(

I miss my Bella! Shes at the vet all day while getting spayed but I already miss her at home. The house is so quiet without her and theres no annoying puppy standing over me on the couch with a tennis ball in her mouth shoving it in my face and pawing at the laptop and screwing up my typing. Im not used to this kind of quiet anymore. Its all for the best though, getting her fixed so she wont have pups because by golly one puppy is enough, I sure as hell dont want a litter of them! Good news, I am 167lbs today :) I havent seen those numbers on the scale in a long time! I absolutely am in love with Reshape The Nation, its freaking rocks! Im actually losing weight and its easy, I just have to eat the right foods! Im not torturing myself at the gym every day, although working out is part of the program, but they are relatively easy 10 minute workouts which I admit I haven't been able to do every day but regardless of that, its still working :)

Keeping up the good work :)

Im still losing weight and feeling awesome :) I love every time I see the scale go down, it gives me more confidence and makes me super happy! They way things are going I should be able to get into a swimsuit this summer :)

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

One year ago today I fractured my ankle... I don't plan to do that again!
Well I haven't blogged for a bit but I am happy to say that I have stuck with Reshape The Nation and am succesfully losing weight. Every morning I weigh myself and its just a tad bit less and less and its such a great motivator for me to keep with the program, I am just loving it :)
The food doesn't taste bad either, its mostly a lot of chicken, vegetables, rice, and protein shakes but its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Also they want us to drink a gallon of water a day which I have been trying to do, but its hard, not to mention that I end up running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. I am hoping my bladder will adjust to this new water regiment soon.
I've alsos take up bass fishing and been kicking butt at it, and outfishing my boyfriend :oP who by the way recently gave me a really beautiful promise ring, its not an engagement ring but the way I see it is pretty much is or at least a huge step in that direction. Things are really good right now :) I was just thinking today that its been a year now since Ive been back in Oregon and it has taken me that long to get my life back into order and good like it was before I moved to Hell and back.

Reshape The Nation

Well I did it; I joined Reshape The Nation! So I ordered my STAX system and it should arrive in 2-4wks so in the mean time I will just have to work out the meal portion sizes on my own. The shopping list seems pretty spendy but I am determined to make this work, I want to feel confident and sexy again... I don't feel like that at all. I am looking forward to being able to wear a sexy swimsuit for my honey :o)

Hiking on a beautiful day is good for the soul

Today instead of going to the gym I decided to hike Cathedral Hills (Outback and Backside loops L,D, and K) . I text a few people and asked if anyone wanted to join me and as usual no one did, everyone is too busy with other stuff. Thats ok though. I packed up some water, my letterboxing stuff (although I forgot a pen and my stamp), my camera and my glock (Hey- a girls gotta protect herself right?)

We got there and started our hike up the K loop and halfway up it I wanted to take a picture and well duh stupid me forgot to put the memory card in my camera which was super lame because I walked through some beautiful manzanita groves along with lots of great wildflowers. Bella was in heaven running around wild and crazy just loving it! I found the first letterbox and thats when I discovered I forgot to bring a pen and my stamp (duh!)

I continued on up K and it was just beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and just plan wonderful :) Bella kept me good company and kept me laughing on my way to find the 2nd letterbox, which I never did find, I think it is MIA. I headed back to the parking lot where letterbox #3 was supposed to be which was MIA for sure and then headed up D trail in search of letterbox #4 (all four were planted by the same people) which that was MIA also! Oh well... It was a great reason to get out anyways and not a huge dissapointment seeing as box #1 was a store bought stamp and so I am sure the other ones were too and those are never as good as the hand carved ones.

On the way back to the car I took my time photographing the wildflowers and breathing in the clean mountain air. Days like this are the reason I love Oregon so much :)

Volleyball!

I normally blow at volleyball but I rocked today :) It was awesome! I was feeling pretty good about it today. I started out sucking just like normal and feeling like a loser then everything just changed and every time I got a good hit in the whole team started cheering for me and congratulating me and I think that brightened my attitude quite a bit and made me feel better about my game so it all started getting better. I treated myself to a really small chocolate pie afterwards... I know its naughty, but for some odd reason I've been craving it for a week now. I am gonna go to the gym after work today and work off that pie.
Also I discovered a new weight loss program you can check it out on www.reshapethenation.com from a documentary I watched on TV called The 650lb virgin. Its about a man who lost 400lbs NATURALLY (... and I bitch because I cant lose 20lbs) I have been researching it and it seems to be mostly based on a good nutrition program well and moving your lazy ass too but I think Im gonna give it a try. The first 2 weeks is only 2 dollars and after that $20 a month and no contract, cancel any time, so I figure Ill try that 2 weeks out and see how it goes. Sounds like a win win situation to me. The only downfall is that they highly reccomend using the STAX system which is a food container system that portions and stores your food along with other stuff but to buy the whole thing is $73 but its not required for the program which is nice, but it will make doing the program a lot easier so if I come up with a few extra dineros I think I might give it a try. If it doesnt work I can sell it on ebay or something.
Off to work I go!

A fun day with Sandi :o)

Today was a nice, mellow day spent shopping with my best friend Sandi and her daughter Wynter. First we went to get lunch at Shiki and had some awesome Philly rolls with edamame... I HEART Sushi :o) Then wantered down to the Kitchen company, that store is expensive but super awesome, I love all the cool gadgetry they have! I bought some new cutting boards, popsicle maker, and grater and a gift for Sandi too. From there we went to the Bead Merchant to get some wire then to the soda fountain for icecream and we enjoyed that while two old women googled over Wynter, one of them told us she has 23 grandkids! Its no wonder the world is over populated, one person can make so many lives and Im not dissing on that woman, she was very nice, just pondering the thought of it. Then we went to Ross and got a few shirts, skirts, and some picture frames, then to fred meyers, then home. that was a lot of shopping LOL
At dinner I made some baked chicken and a really great salad which consisted of spinach, red cabbage, onion, roma tomatos, parmesan, and avocado. yum yum!
I'm gonna go play disc golf with a new girlfriend in the morning
I wore the old one out lol

A beautiful day!

I am excited to see such beautiful weather today :) Yesterdays weather was fantastic! I had a small get together with girlfriends at the park and played some croquet and played with bubbles (no- bubbles is not a hooker) and played with Bella, my puppy.
Turns out the little crazy dog is craaaazy about water! She was running and jumping into the pond muck at the park chasing pine cones. The water was gross but it was so funny to watch her leaping like that so we kept throwing the pine cones for her.
After the picnic I had to go to work. I was pouring beer for Taste Of The Rogue fundraiser auction. Its to raise money for the Girls and Boys club from what I understand and there were hundreds of "high rollers" there. I wish I had the freedom to donate thousands and thousands of dollars like they are able to do. Not that I am greedy by any means, if I had that much money I really would donate it and put it towards a good cause.
If I was a multi-millionaire I would buy houses for all my family and good friends so that they have one less thing to worry about, oh and good running vehicles too. I would then travel the whole world with my best friend. I would also donate lots of money to animal shelters and Search and Rescue. If I had a million dollars.
Anyways, Im off now to enjoy this beautiful day :)
I think Bella wants to go to the River :)

My big come back!

So I realized I haven't blogged in a really long time... and I don't have any really good excuse for it. Life is going pretty well, I have a really wonderful boyfriend, a playful funny 5 month old chocolate lab puppy, a running vehicle now, and got my old job back at the Pub, and just joined a new co-ed softball team :o)
Unfortunately I will admit I have slacked off on exercising since i got the puppy because I didn't want to leave her alone a whole lot while adapting to her new home but now she is housebroke and I am determined to get back on track! I put on add on craigslist today for a fitness partner and within and hour or so I got an email from a girl who I think will be a good fit for me to get in shape with so I am excited to meet her :o)

Fast food nation

We really do live in a fast food nation with such poor food quality, its disgusting. I've been learning a lot recently about food and the effects on the body and such and have been making huge changes in my diet for the better and I am already feeling better about myself.
Tonight a woman ordered a huge quantity of Applebees Oriental dressing so I went to get it for her, straight out of the giant economy sized container, and couldn't help but let my curiosity get the best of me and read the ingrediants, I was disgusted! I dont eat the Ori dressing because Ive read in "Eat this, not that" that it is one of the worst things applebees offers on their menu, and to top it off, it looks just like GLUE! If I were to empty a bottle of Elmers school glue in a dressing cup and put it next to a cup of the Ori dressing, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference.
So whats in it? well for starters, its all big words that are difficult to pronounce (A good sign that its not "all natural") including MSG, hydrolyzed oils, oh and yeah here is any easy one to pronounce: CHICKEN FAT!! Really?? chicken fat?? was that really necessary to put in there? that is disgusting!
Well thats my ranting and raving for tonight.
By the way, someone at work today asked me "Have you been working out? you look like it" I love when people say that to me because then I know my hard work is starting to pay off :o)

My first pilates class

I know I have been a total slacker on blogging... but oh well, Ill try to get better at it :o) I just don't spend much time online these days. I went to the Anytime Fitness gym in Central Point today and did 45 min on the elliptical trainer and a 50 min pilates class, that was hard but felt good, I was proud of myself that I actually did it. It focuses a lot on core strength, which I dont have, haha, so it was definitely challenging and I am still feeling it. My hip hurts too for some odd reason, probably just part of being old.
My boyfriends brother has a huge crush on one of my girlfriends who invited us to the gym and to the pilates class and so he suprisingly volunteered to do the pilates class with us (I think he was trying to impress her) kudos to him haha He was whining to me "Im gonna be the only guy there" so I told him "No, you'll be the only straight guy there" and sure enough.. the only other man in the class was umm lets just say he was on the "flamboyant" side of life lol
I liked that gym a lot better than Grants Pass's Anytime fitness, Im just not impressed with them at all. In addition to working out more I have also been focusing more on nutrition and studying up on macrobiotic diets and have learned a lot of really great information and am putting it to good use.
Yesterday was a fun day. Crystal and I went shopping, had lunch, bummed around town for awhile and then she took me to meet her friend who is a proffessional photographer and I got to see her studio and chat with with and much to my excitement she invited me to do a photoshoot with her soon (of Crystal) and teach me new techniques and such. I am really looking forward to it :o)
