A good day

Today was good. I worked a split shift today and I tend to use that as an excuse (because im on my feet all day) to not work out but I decided that I am not making any more excuses and Im just gonna do it. My right ankle (my bad one is the left one) was hurting today and my right hip while I speed walked on the treadmill today for 3.5 miles and Im not sure why exactly but maybe I slept funny or something. I have another split shift tomorrow but plan to go to the gym before work and stick to my plan and work out more :)

Enjoying the holidays

I know I have slacked off on postings but I plan to get better about that. I reinjured my ankle recently so it has been very frustrating to me especially since my main focus right now is on doing lots of cardio and I need working limbs. Today I speed walked on the treadmill for an hour at 3.7 mph and it felt good. I didnt run, I wanted to, but Im not going to push it too much right now. I got a new pair of running shoes today (and hiking boots) and hopefully that will be helpful. I am really looking forward to being able to run again.
My diet today consisted of 4 tangelos for breakfast, lunch was 6inch turkey sandwhich for subway and dinner was chicken and rice with veggies. I drank lots of water and OJ and splurged a tiny bit and ate a couple tiny sugar wafers, oh and I had a yoplait smoothie :)
We got snow today, it was so beautiful :) and I went to go visit Sandi and her new baby Wynter and had a nice visit with them before going to work so it was a pretty good day :)

Good Workout

Today I hit the treadmill for an hour and I felt great, the first mile didnt hurt like having shin splints like so I think thats a good sign, I guess my body must be adjusting well to it. I made a berry smoothie with nonfat plain yogurt for breakfast and 2 scrambled eggs. I think today I will buy a steamer if they arent too much, its a much healthier way to cook food.

Whew! Im tired!

I walked to work today, worked, then went to the gym and worked out for an hour, walked home, showered, and now im ready for a lazy evening. I have been able to run longer and faster on the treadmill which is awesome and feels great. Ive been doing about 3.5-4 miles a day and I am noticing a pattern where it seem seems the first mile or so is such a struggle and I feel like I have shin splints and my legs hurt, but after that first mile I feel great and could keep going for even longer. Today I had cheerios for breakfast with skim milk and for lunch I had an avocado, an orange, and 2 tangelos and after my workout I had a few triscuits and a couple slices of lunchmeat ham. Im gonna make some chicken and rice for dinner unless I con someone into going out to sushi with me :)

Another good day

I started my day out good by going to the gym and walking/jogging on the treadmill for an hour and then doing some stretches. I have been doing really well with sticking to my diet of avocados, bananas, almonds, boiled eggs, chicken breasts, and salads with no dressing and drinking lots of water. Someone commented that I looked as if I had lost weight and that made me happy, maybe its starting to pay off!

Great start of a new day


I crawled out of bed, did some laundry, ate a banana and headed off to the gym. I am focusing mainly on cardio right now for weight loss and then when I get to a better weight then I will focus on weight training too. I know gaining muscle mass makes you gain weight and even though I understand how it works and its not gaining fat, right now I want to see results and if the scale doesn't move then I will find it discouraging. So today I did an hour on the treadmill at alternating inclines beteeen 3.5 and 4.5 mph. During my hour on the treadmill today (I usually just speed walk) but I tried jogging today and did it 4 times and then would back down to a fast walk again. I am really excited about it because since I fractured my anke in May I haven't been able to run. I figure a treadmill is a good place to start because my ankle is still weak and I dont want to run on uneven ground. When I got home I ate a boiled egg and an avocado and am cooking chicken breasts and rice now for dinner.

Rainy Day

Yesterday I didn't make it the gym, I was disapointed, I worked a very long shift with only one short break and even though its 24hrs I didn't want to walk home at night in the cold so I opted for a ride home. I have to work a long shift today also but plan to try to make it to the gym. Life sure would be easier with a running vehicle.

New Gym

Today I joined a new gym, decided I need something different to motivate me. Since it was my first time there I decided to take it easy and just did the treadmill for an hour, about 3.5 miles at varying speeds but mostly about 3.5mph at alternating inclines. Im gonna have shin splints for sure! It was a nice start to a new place. I am really looking forward to returning tomorrow.

Geocaching Day

I know I haven't blogged for awhile... I admit, I slacked. I have been trying to stick to the course and focusing on eating a lot of raw foods and just drinking water although I do have a cup of hot chocolate in front of me right now... It's been so darn cold I have been craving something to warm me up. Today was a fantastic day, cold but still lots of sunshine :) So I went out and ran my errands for the day and got all that done then took my sisters dog to the park for awhile then took him back home and went back to the park. I placed a geocache at Tom Pearce Park, found one at Portola Park and also my very first Golf Disc. While I was at Tom Pearce then second time (first time around I had poblems with my GPS) I got a good little work out doing a very brisk walk the entire length of the park and back so that was good exercise for today. I was going to on a bike ride today but I got home and it was freezing cold by that time so I opted not too. Tomorrow I will though!
Also, yesterday Sandi and I drove all over southern oregon taking photographs and doing short hikes which was fantastic.

Bad news

Last night I checked my email and received one titled "bad news" from my childhood bestfriend Tom. I knew right away that I didn't want to read it, but of course did anyways. He was recently diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma or something like that, I dont remember exactly how its spelled. Just as I had feared, he wrote to me that he has a terminal illness (not sure if its the lymphoma or something else). I was devastated. To make matters even harder he wrote to me that it had brought him and his wife to a new level of closeness and she has asked him to never speak to me again and completely shut me out of his life and not to email him back because it would just make things harder for him. I felt so sad and yet insulted and betrayed all at the same time.
Tom and I were best friends for several years and we fooled around a couple times when we were kids but that was it, nothing at all after that, and then he married this woman about 7 years ago and she was so jealous of our friendship she never let me see him again except for one time that she didn't know about when we had lunch at a Wendys several years ago and other than that we only talk on the phone a couple of times a year and friends on facebook (which I have been deleted from apparently).
I know we havent been close the last couple years but I do still consider him to be one of the favorite people of my life, and for a long time considered him to be "the one that got away" but unfortunately I realized it too late.
I am just upset that he is going to leave this world and I won't be there to say goodbye or to console him or anything like that. I miss my friend. I don't know why women have to be so damn jealous and stupid like her. She has nothing to worry about, I have never tried to steal her husband away or anything like that and yet she has always hated me and I have never done anything but respect her and pretty much gave up on having a friendship with him because that is what she wanted and even now when he is sick, she cant let her jealousy go. I think thats really awful. She should know that after 7 years her husband isn't going to leave her. I guess she must have some major insecurities. Part of me is mad at him too for allowing her to control him like this for so many years but maybe thats just his way of proving his love to her or something. I just wish I could hug him one more time and say goodbye for good. I hate feeling like we have left things unfinished. I'm really gonna miss my friend.

Weigh Day!

Yay! I lost 5.5lbs :o) I am pretty excited about it, its small but at least its something and it gives me more motivation to try even harder. I have been eating well, mostly oatmeal for breakfast and fresh fruit smoothies and something light for lunch and dinner. I have been walking to work or riding my bike and using the wii fitness coach, which I am going to go do right now.

A good start to the day

I got out of bed and did 30 min of the wii personal coach and 30 minutes bike ride (last part was in the rain and crummy weather) and had a bowl of oatmeal for lunch and have already drank several glasses of water and had some pumpkin seeds for a snack. Oh and I took for dog for a 10 minute walk. Every little bit helps, right? Im gonna see if I can squeeze in another wii workout tonight but my thighs are hurting me already from doing a bunch of lunges and squats earlier! its a good hurt though!

Back on Track

Today has been a good day, Im trying to get back on track with my fitness blog. First thing in the morning my sister and I took a walk around the neighborhood-which was super easy but at least its getting out and doing something. After that a friend and I went and hiked up Cathedral Hills on the Wild Rose Loop which gets up to 1600 feet in elevation. Since I got sick I havent worked out too much so I was huffin and puffin a bit at the top of the loop but it felt great to get out there and keep on trekking. Im not sure how many miles we hiked, a few probably, but it was a lot of up and downs so it was a good workout for me. I plan to go get a couple pumpkins now but after that I am going back home and work out with the wii.

Sam Mluge of Tanzania also has albinism, him and Professor Brilliant were the first doctors to ever examine the Mathias sisters. Mary Mathias is the mother of Semeni and Shida, deserted by all relatives and friends because they dissaprove of albino children she bore, they have no protection from police either, at any moment she fears the killers will return and murder her daughters to sell their body parts. They are teenagers but have excessive aging skin due to sun exposure and severe burns and damage from the sun.
Every night Semeni says "The night has come, tonight we will die"
Matindo Elementary School is a school for albino children where they can be relatively safe from albino killers

I am feeling pretty happy because Im finally getting over this awful flu. I am really looking forward to working out tomorrow, which I havent been able to do since I got sick, hopefully then I will be back on track :)

Monday Night Football

Well I havent blogged for a few days... but I have been eating well and working out a bit, not as much as I should have this week, but I have. Today I ate well and had a good cardio workout with my wii fitness coach. I know some people talk smack about using a video game to work out, but this one is flipping awesome and its not so much a video game, it is more like a workout dvd but is interactive and adjusts to your fitness levels by asking if the workout was too easy or too hard or just right and unlike a normal dvd, the workouts change every time. I really like it!
I got to dress up in my jersey and jeans for work tonight, I like mondays. Its nice to get out of the lame boring work outfit. Time for bed :)

wednesday is Hump Day!

... Not for me though... but I did see part of an episode of "its me or the dog" today that was featuring a bull terrier who had an obesessive major problem with humping peoples legs.
Good thing I don't have that problem, I just pee on their legs. Its much more lady like.

Today I got out of bed and took Zemyrra for a walk (a little bit of exercise is better than none) and then came home and did an hour of housework (the house looks so much better now) and then went to work for a measly frustrating 2 hours. I am thankful to have a job... but I can't continue doing this 2 hours a day crap. I've got to get more hours soon or else find another job :(
I plan to play tennis with a new girlfriend tonight (its too hot outside right now) so I am looking forward to that.

I had oatmeal for breakfast, tomato soup for lunch, and a lot of water so I am doing good so far.

*evening update* :) I had soup and crackers for dinner, lots more water and went on a nice long walk with Meghan and was a little bad and snacked on a few chocolate chips for a late nighter

Its Tuesday!

So work today consisted of a lame 2 hours... and 2 hours yesterday... that sucks, but oh well, it gives me plenty of time (and no money) to do other stuff. I wanted to go for a long bike ride this morning but I didn't sleep well at all and was very groggy this morning so I just got up, showered, and went to work. When I got off I came home, cleaned some house, washed my sisters car and my dorky scooter, and now I am gonna go pick Tina up from work and come back and clean more house. Its gotten to be pretty messy in the last few days. Ill be sure to go for a bike ride or something tonight.

Happy Monday!




Today has been good so far, I plan to make it better. I worked for only 2 hours :( but did pick up extra shifts this week. After that I went for a brisk walk for 20 minutes and then it just got too hot outside so I am postponing my bike ride for later this evening when its cooler. For breakfast I had another one of those yummy healthy pita sandwhiches and I am about to go make a salad (with no dressing) for lunch with water. I spent last night hanging out with Crystal and she made us a fantastic dinner and then we went to Barnes and Nobles and spent quite a bit of time browsing the healthy eating and fitness section and I did buy one book that I think will be helpful to me on my quest to become healthier and lose weight.
So... turns out I didnt go for a bike ride because Sandi called me up and told me about a huge wildfire in Ashland and so we went to take pictures of it. Of course the "good spot" was road blocked but we weaseled our way around the road block and were able to stand right next to the pond that one of the helicopters was dipping its water bucket into and got some pretty good pictures :) It was pretty exciting for us... a bummer for the people who lost there homes though :( check out the pictures on my flickr site! Ill post a few here.

A Sunny Sunday


Today has been a good day, I got up early, played with my dog, cleaned house (never ending chore!) and then went and spent the day with my two best girlfriends and played with playdough and card games like a bunch of kids. Ironically all 3 of us are having guy problems at the same time... funny how that works. I just got back home and changed my clothes and am just about to go the park to play softball and I haven't played for awhile so I am excited to get out there and do some running around and then after that Im going for a long walk around the neighborhood. I ate very well today, drank a lot of water and had a whole wheat pita for lunch with avocado, roma tomatos, sprouts, chicken, and cucumber...yum yum :) I even made one for Sandi too! Alright, well its time to go play!

Wednesday was better

Wednesday went better, all except for the fat lip I got from my dog kicking me in the face when I was trying to take care of her injured paw. I realize now that theres just no way I can soak her paw in Epson salt so I got some Schreiners which is like a miracle cure to skin wounds and infections (we use it on horses) so I got some of that wonderful stuff and even though she has never seen the bottle of it before, she fought like hell, just like the horses do when they see the bottle. We would have to usually tie the horses up to a tree before bringing out the bottle because they hate it so much and recognize it... for some reason my dog had the same reaction and just about tore down the house. Sooo.... the cute little pup is going to the vet today and be sedated to the vet can hopefully get the foxtail out of the abcess. I was a lamer and didnt get any exercise wednesday but will today while Zem is at the vet.

Crummy Tuesday

Tuesday wasnt the best day I've ever had but I tried to make the best of it. It started out with a nasty argument with the ex and so I decided that going for a walk would make me feel better because it would get the endorphins up so my dog and I walked about 2 miles and she was panting like crazy (it was pretty hot) and she has a big owie on her paw so I decided to make it a shorter walk than I would have liked. I made an appointment at the vet for her but apparently they want to sedate her and have me pick her up after 4pm which I cant do because I have to work so I need to arrange with another hostess at work a little while for me so I can take her into the vet in the next few days. I tried to soak her paw in epsom salt but she faught me like hell and I just got too frustrated and gave up. Among that and other frustrating stuff... Im glad tuesday is over.
Today, wednesday, will be better. Im gonna go for a longer walk (I think Ill leave Zem at home) and also take her to the grange to see if there is some sort of antiseptic spray that might help her paw. I think she has a nasty fox tail embedded in there and its created an abscess. poor puppy!

Start of the football season!

Today is the start of the football season, yay! I get to wear my jersey to work... but its a little snug... but already fitting better than it did last time I tried it on so maybe my exercising and stuff is finally working out! I had tuna for lunch (eeeeww) it was gross but I know its good for me and has lots of protein but I can't stand the canned stuff. However... if its raw and wrapped up in rice and seaweed... yum yum! The worst part of it was when I pressed the lid down to strain the water out, the tuna and water squirted out all over my shirt and pants and the floor!
I went for a bike ride this morning and cleaned house so I have been keeping myself busy. Now I'm gonna get ready for work :)

I got a job!

Yay for me! I got a job... and thats something I really need right now. So far (day 2) its going good. I haven't blogged in a few days but have been eating well for the most part and taking long walks. I rode my bike to work and back today, which isnt too far, but it was some exercise. My ankle that got fractured last may is causing me a lot of pain right now (and im sitting!) so I'm gonna take some ibuprofen and see if that helps and then maybe I will go for another bike ride-however my thigh muscles are still sore from that long bike ride. That really was crazy hard for me but Im very proud of myself for actually doing it. I think we might do it again next week too!

HOLY SHIT I DID IT!


So the bike ride turned out to be more than 20 miles, somewhere around 23-26 (not sure exactly) and I thought I was gonna die but I actually did it. It took about 4 hours and the last leg of the trip was the worst because I think I got some heat exhaustion because I felt like I was gonna throw up and dizzy and got one hell of a headache (which I still have). I drank water the whole time so I know I was plenty hydrated so it must have been the heat that did me in and my lack of fitness level I guess. I can honestly say as far as fitness goes, that is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done and I had to push myself further than I ever have before. About 2 or 3 miles before the end I thought for sure I was done and there was no way in hell I was going to be able to finish it but somehow I did. Jason was very nice and supportive and even walked with me a bit towards the end where I just couldn't bike it anymore. I am proud of myself for doing it but we've been home for a few hours now and even after a cold shower and more water I still have a raging headache and I think a mild fever to boot. I think I might have pushed myself a little too far today but thats ok :) I think we are gonna do it again next sunday but hopefully leave earlier in the day so we dont have to battle the heat.

Oh the picture up there... thats my happy dance. I'd do it if I could feel my legs right now. Yay for me!!!

I walked about 4 miles today, probably more than that if you add up all the walking around town too. My ankle is hurting quite a bit but I got a lot of exercise in today doing that. Tomorrow I'm gonna die. Jason and I are going to do a 20 mile bike ride. yikes!

TGIF!


Today was a good day! I got up and went for a long bike ride, went disc golfing, and had an interview at Applebees and I think I might have gotten the job so I am pretty excited about it. I had an interview with two managers and one of them said she wanted to hire me on the spot but needed to check my references first and I know I'll get good refs so.... I hope it works out :)

For breakfast I has oatmeal, a ham sandwich for lunch, chips and crystals homemade salsa for a snack and lots of water. Dinner will be a ravioli with pesto. Tonight Im going to Jasons house I am going to bring my bike and tennis rackets and gold discs too make sure that we get plenty of exercise over the weekend too. Maybe tomorrow Ill try to convince him to hike Table Rock with me so we can watch the sunset :) that would be nice! I have to take Zemyrra back to the exs house now (uugg) Im gonna miss my puppers but Ill go and get her again as soon as I get back to town.

Its Thursday!

I know I'm not in Wyoming anymore, but I like this photo anyways so if your reading this you better just like it damn't. They tasted good. They weren't terribly friendly though. You can't just walk up to them and pet them, the run away, unless you have hay and then they will trample all over you to get it. I think somehow they know they end up on the dinner table and must not like that.
So speaking of eating, I was a good girl today. For breakfast I had a very small bit of Tinas yummy spaghetti, a light ham sandwich for lunch, and dinner was chicken with rice and green beans and lots of water. I was supposed to play tennis twice today but it didnt work out (not my fault) but I did get a little exercise today and took Zemyrra to the river and cleaned the house like crazy. Im gonna go for a long bike ride in the morning but for now I think Im just gonna call it a night.
Oh tomorrow I have a job interview :)

its time to play!

But first off... an update. I was good, had water and oatmeal for breakfast and a light ham sandwhich for lunch. Gonna make chicken and rice for dinner. I spent several hours yesterday job hunting and went to the job council for a class today so hopefully Ill be on my way to having a job again soon. After a very frustrating phone call to the ex, I went and picked up my puppy (we share her) so now Im gonna keep her for a few days. I love getting to spend time with her and I miss her terribly when shes not here. Im gonna go take her down to the park for a bit and play tennis against the backboard since none of my tennis friends are available to play today. Better than no tennis at all!

Turns out I did get to play tennis :) a new girlfriend called me up and we met up at Portola Park and Zemyrra came with and was such a well behaved girl. I had a lot of fun with this new girl, she seems really awesome and down to earth and I had a lot of fun with her. We are going to play again tonight and Im really looking forward to it.

New Tennis Partner!


Today I met with a a new girlfriend for tennis and had a good time :) I was practicing on the backboard before she got there and got a one of my only two tennis balls stuck behind it, what a pain in the butt! I got it back but it took some work.

After tennis I went home and got all spiffied up and headed to the job council and did a bunch of stuff there and then drove all over town looking for jobs (everyones Not hiring) and I was getting frustrated but the very last place I stopped IS hiring so I am gonna try like hell to get hired on there!

Tina made a great (not so healthy) breakfast for us, eggs, bacon, and biscuits and I had some water and a small bit of pepsi (I know its bad!) but I had a headache and sometimes the caffeine helps (I feel better now). For dinner I am going to bake some chicken breasts and serve it with brown rice and veggies. Ill do that after I go watch Ashas softball game and visit with Sandi.

Another semi slacker day


Today I ate well, had a banana, an orange, lots of water, and a yummy calzone with turkey breast, roma tomatos, pesto, basil, and swiss cheese. Dinner was bad though, had a hamburger and a redbull :o(
I did get a bit of exercise today walking around Ashland and Lithia Park but that was about it.

Tomorrow morning I have plans to go play tennis with a new girlfriend and tonight I am going to try and patch up the tire on my bike so I can ride tomorrow. I gotta get back on track!

Making Musubi

Sunday was kinda fun. Crystal and I slept in to 11:00am (we stayed up waaay to late) and she made an awesome ceasar salad for breakfast and I had some guava juice too. She also decided to make some Musubi (Im sure i must have the wrong spelling) and teach me how to do it. Crystal is hawaiian and is actually crazy enough to eat Spam and her all time favorite food is spam and sticky rice rolled up in seaweed, like sushi. So she made a batch and then taught me how so I can serve it at her funeral some day. It was fun :) I would love to get a sushi roller and start making my own (maybe not with Spam though) but I thought it would be really yummy to have pineapple, raisins, and diced chicken rolled up in rice and seaweed or some mongolian beef and broccoli... yum yum, there are lots of things we could make :)

After brunch we edited some of the photos from the shoot we did and made a really cute photo book for her hunny and then did some shopping for him too. All in all it was a pretty lazy day but fun and good. I have to admit though, I was realllly bad and we had McDonalds for lunch... I got a hamburger, fries, and coke and I felt awful after eating it (physically) eeww too much bad stuff.

After that I went to my boyfriends house to hang out and had some overly ripe cantaloupe (eeew) and water and called it a night. And it was a good night. :)

Crystal and I went to Brookings for her nephews 3rd birthday. There was a huge a party but I dont think the kid really cared much. I ended up not getting much of a work out in the morning because I was busy getting ready for our trip but did get a work out in the evening. I took Crystal to the beach at sunset and did a fantastic photo shoot of her! So far, I think its one of my best shoots :o) She also took a couple of photos of me so I figured I would share one of them. We only had about 15 minutes of good light before the sun went down and so I was running around on the beach like crazy with Crystal posing her and whatnot and I sure did get a work out with that! She was absoloutely fantastic though and was a great sport about it and didnt mind me telling her what to do so quickly and crazily. She was awesome!

On the way to CA we got stopped at the fruit/border patrol and we thought we would have some fun with them and so we told them we didnt have fruit (but really we had bananas, tomatos and a pineapple) but then found it funny to whip a U-turn after we pulled out and go back around and offer them our banana. We pull back up and the guy says "Did you girls get lost?" and we said "Sorry we fibbed, we have a banana to give you" and they guy laughed at us and said "aww you girls dont have to be so honest, bananas are allowed!"

A state employee at the border actually told us we didnt have to be so honest. word for word.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

so then we continue on to Crystals familys house... all I have to say is... wow... my family is almost normal compared to them. (Sorry Crystal! Love ya! no one reads this crap anyways) and after I really pissed off her mom we left and went to the beach with her sister (who is awesome) and took some great photos of crystal. After that we headed back home (opted not to stay the night, thought it would be safer and we wanted to make sure we woke up alive). For the most part we had an awesome time and had lots of fun but I did eat cake and chips and salsa and fruit punch and some veggis and burritos for dinner so it wasnt the healthiest day ever but Ill make up for that tomorrow :)

Going to the coast!

Today my friend and I are going to the coast. I am not feel good though but will try to make the best of it and have a good day. I want to focus more on my photography and have been hounding my girlfriend for such a long time to let me photograph her and I think she is finally going to give in today. I want to take her to the beach at sunset and do some swimsuit photos. Lets see if she lets me! She is so beautiful and photogenic that I know she will look fantastic. Im not sure if I will work out today, I have a terrible cough and an achy back. My sister was sick recently and Im afraid I might have caught her bug. Time for some Roibos tea!

Day five!


Day 5 of my trek to get back in shape and Im feeling good about it so far. I wanted to play tennis today but it is rainy and my tennis partner opted not to play (slipping around on the court isn't fun) but thats ok! I think I am gonna head to the park anyways and bounce tennis balls off the backboard to get a bit of a work out. Im thrilled about today overcast rainy weather. Its been so darn hot lately that it makes me not want to go outside and workout but today is really cool, almost chilly so I am gonna go for a walk in a bit I think. I was pretty excited yesterday because my sister deicded to give the wii fit a try and played it for 45 minutes. I know the wii fit isn't the greatest way to get into shape but it does get my heart rate up and I do work up a sweat. I think its a nice alternative for when you dont feel like working out outside because its too darn hot.

For breakfast I had 2 eggs and two pieces of toast (oatmeal got boring) and a large glass of water. I am going to Brookings with Crystal tomorrow and will be coming back Sunday so I have to find a way to incoorporate my workout into that trip too so I don't slack off. Well, I just finished up housework (it never ends) so I guess Ill go workout now. Ill write more later!

Its My Birthday!


Happy Birthday To Me! Ok Im old now. I'm officially celebrating my 21st birthday for the 7th time. I started out good (so far!) and drank a lot of water to help speed my recovery of last night. I had an english muffin for breakfast, a fried egg, and spoiled myself with a bowl of fruitloops (that didnt even taste good. Then I went and played tennis in the hot sun with a new friend and that was fun! I worked up quite a sweat so then I went home and jumped in the shower. ahhhh! and then I had a small piece of Tinas cheeseburger pie. Tonight Im going to dinner with a friend and I will most likely have sushi and water. I love sushi. Sushi makes me happy.

My birthday night was fun. We went and had sushi and then I had one glass of wine and 2 mixed drinks but thats it for drinking. I am determined to stop drinking (except for an occasional glass of wine) but made an exception for my birthday. I got to hang out with my oldest sister for awhile which was kind of difficult because we usually end up fighting but it turned out ok. Oh and Tina got me a nice birthday cake but I only had a few bites :) so I think I did well for the most part.

Day Three


Ok so day three isnt as good as the other days.... I didnt get my workout done this morning because I had to go move furniture out of my old house to my new one. I guess that kind of counts... but not really. Ill be sure to go for a walk in a bit. I just gotta let lunch settle.

For breakfast I had oatmeal and water, lunch was water and soup and salad, and for a snack I was really bad and had a glass of soda. It didnt even taste good. Ill be sure to have a nice healthy dinner and work out here in a little bit.

Tonight is the Batte Of The Bands in Medford so Sandi and I are going to go hang out there and she got the idea that we could also do a birthday celebration for me while there so she invited a few friends. I havent touched a drop of alcohol for a week now and was determined to quit alcohol along with getting back into shape but I know that my friends will insist on buying me drinks for my birthday so I guess I can make an exception for today but just keep it in serious moderation. (Dont worry mom, Im not driving) I guess its ok for a birthday reason :) I gotta be awake and alert tomorrow morning anyways because Im going to play tennis with a new friend and I feel bad that I already let her down today because I didnt have a racket and she didnt have an extra but I got 2 old ones today. They are lame but theyre rackets. Mine is in my storage shed in Merlin so I need to go and get that soon.

Oh I also went to the DMV and got my license renewed today. 39 bucks! at least its out of the way now though.

Pre-birthday night: I was bad and good. I declined onion rings, fries, hamburger, candy, and free energy drinks that were offered to me, however I did accept a few birthday drinks. I had a blast with my friends at the battle of the bands (Thanks guys!) its so good to get all the girls together that I love! We went the Shenanigans for that and then some one had the bright idea to go to the strip club (Duchesne!) so we went there and it was pretty lame and Sandi and I lost interest very quickly so we left and we were really hungry so we went to taco bell and I ate two tacos. Tomorrow I need to work out extra hard!

Day Two!

Today I have done alright. I worked out for 35 minutes on the Wii Fit (my wii fit age was 36) and went to go take a bike ride for an hour but when I grabbed my bike I realized I had a flat tire because no matter where I ride, on pavement or off, I get those damn goatheads stuck in my tires! it really irritates me. So I have to go buy a new bike tube and install it so I can get in some more good cardio. I got a hairline fracture in my left ankle last May and it still hurts me a lot so it makes it very painful to do the treadmill or jogging so I found the bike is a great way to get low-impact cardio.

For breakfast I had a banana, water, snack was low fat string cheese and slices of turkey breast, green tea, and I was slightly bad and had chips and salsa with a tablespoon of guacamole. Lunch was a ham sandwhich. Dinner will be chicken breasts and pasta salad. Tina has been marinading them in a Jack Daniels Lemon Pepper marinade... yuuuuumy!

Day one :o)

Today I have done well. I drank lots of water, some apple juice, had oatmeal for breakfast, low fat string cheese and peanuts for a snack, salad for lunch, and now Tina is making meatloaf for dinner (I'll go easy on it!).

I worked out using the Wii fit for 45 minutes (my Wii Fit age is 28 based on my scores for today) and set up a goal to lose 3lbs a per two weeks which is the recomended weight loss schedule for the Wii Fit but seems silly-ish to me since our bodies can fluctuate 1-2lbs a day depending on how much food we eat and stuff.

I put an ad on Craigslist last night for a fitness partner and was contacted by a woman close to my age that is interested in playing tennis with me so I am excited to meet her!

I did good because I turned down a friend offering to buy me a drink while I had my salad at the pub and also turned down myt sister when she went to Dutch Bros and offered to buy me a strawberry redbull (my vice).

I spent most of my day cleaning house and planned to go job hunting but as I was leaving the house realized that my resume had a stupid typo so I will print it up again tomorrow hopefully. So then I decided to go to the DMV to renew my license and as I walked into the DMV I realized I was carrying my US Cellular bill instead of my birth certificate (DUH!) so I didnt get that done either. Tina gave me money to take her car to the car wash to get it all spiffied up and I figured I could use the exercise so I went ahead and washed it myself by hand. Looks much better than going through one of those automated carwashes that dont scrub anything.

Well I guess its been a good start on my goal :o)

All about ME!

Hello! I'm Mistydawn, also known as Erfellie, Erf, Smurf, or Smurfellie. I am 27 years old (for now!) and love to play hard and have lots of fun. This last year of my life has been tough (Physically) because I moved to Wyoming - one of the coldest places on earth - and because it was too damn cold outside and I had no friends, my lazy unmotivated ass put on a lot of weight and discontinued the healthy lifestyle I was accustomed to living. My family has a strong history of diabetes and my worst fear is to end up with it. Ive seen what it does to people and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I have recently moved back to Oregon but am having a difficult time getting back into a healthy lifestyle because I no longer live with my best friend and partner in crime, Sandi. She was the "get your ass outside and work it off Kick In The Pants" awesome motivator of my life. So now, I am in need of a new style of motivation and decided to give this a try! If my family and friends are reading this and giving me a cyber push to stay motivated and get fit then I think that will help me out a lot! Thanks to everyone for all of your past, present, and future support in my endeavor to beat diabetes like the dirty whore it is!!!!!
